The Millers of Delaware presents a historical perspective of two distinct Miller families who migrated from Delaware to Michigan in the mid-1850s. The two patriarchs were Joseph Miller (1787–1846) and John Hughes Miller (1803–1876). While John Hughes Miller and his family made the journey, Joseph Miller did not, having passed away beforehand. Over time his identity was somehow forgotten or misremembered as Joseph Hutchison.
